Pikmin 2 - Episode 27: Who's the Boss?

In today's episode of the "Pikmin 2" playthrough, we complete the rest of the "Hole of Heroes". Despite this being one of the final caves in the game, in my personal opinion, the "Hole of Heroes" actually gets a bit easier once you reach Floor 10 because while you're fighting boss after boss, the arenas, as well as the fights themselves, are nowhere near as difficult as the rematches against the Pileated Snagret and the Ranging Bloyster. For example, Floor 10 has you fighting two Emperor Bulblaxes in a small area, but considering that you can pretty much kill one as soon as it emerges from the ground with just a small handful of Pikmin, the game might as well just give you the treasure. As for Floor 14, the penultimate floor, you're fighting Beady Long Legs, with the only additional hazards being some water and various kinds of Dweevils. Heck, for that matter, the final floor has you fighting Raging Long Legs, arguably one of the easiest bosses in the game. Sure, Raging Long Legs is more than capable of crushing your squad in a matter of seconds thanks to its giant feet and has a massive amount of HP, but it's not very mobile and is always relatively low to the ground. So as long as you deal with the Jellyfloats before starting the fight, only use a small handful of Pikmin (preferably Purples), and don't get greedy when it's enraged, the Ranging Longlegs won't give you any problems. As for the other two boss floors, Floors 11 and 13, while they're certainly a step up from the previously mentioned floors, they're not much harder. In fact, the former, which is another rematch against Empress Bulblax, is arguably easier than the previous rematch against her on the grounds that the floor may be smaller and she causes rocks to fall from the ceiling when she rolls, but since you're right next to her upon arriving on the floor, you can quickly mitigate the threat of her babies by immediately rushing to her face and starting the damage-roll-damage cycle. And as for Floor 13, it's just the Man-at-Legs fight with more water, so the hardest part is ensuring that you have enough Blues and/or Bulbmin at the end of the fight (at least five) to carry back the treasure.
