Immobilising Impaled Objects | Singapore Emergency Responder Academy, First Aid and CPR Training

If a victim has been impaled by an object, the emergency responder has to immobilise the impaled objects while awaiting the medical team. 1) Gently insert the ring pad on the impaled object, minimizing the movement 2) Using a roller bandage, bandage the ring pad by rolling an inch above the ring pad first, tucking the first end 3) Continue bandaging the ring pad around the impaled object 4) End the bandage by bandaging an inch below the ring pad, tucking the last end of the roller bandage *To learn how to tie a ring pad (aka donut), watch our video here:    • Folding a Donut | Singapore Emergency Resp...   SERA is dedicated to providing training and certification courses for a variety of First Aid and CPR + AED courses.
