Who was Loco Fierro? Gimnasia y Esgrima La Plata, popularly known as "El Lobo," is the second oldest club in Argentina, with a long history in national football. Founded on June 3, 1887, it is the oldest of the current teams in the first division. This club is based in the city of La Plata. They named the gymnastics bar "22."
