As a Model, This Broke My Heart 💔

This reaction became much more personal than I expected. 💔 Today I'm reacting to "Dominoes" by Ren, and this song absolutely blew me away. As a plus size model, photographer, and Modelpreneur coach, I've spent years navigating industries that often tell us we're not enough. Too big. Too small. Too old. Too different. Too much. And that's exactly why this song hit me so hard. Ren shines a light on the societal pressures we face to look a certain way and achieve some impossible ideal. He explores how, even when we are beautiful, talented, and worthy, we can still feel like we somehow fall short. That message moved me to tears because I know all too well the side effects of those pressures. I've seen it in myself. I've seen it in my clients. I've seen it in countless talented people who struggle to see their own worth because they've been taught to measure themselves against unrealistic standards. What amazes me is how Ren takes such a heavy subject and transforms it into something that is thoughtful, emotional, and incredibly powerful. This song reminded me why I do what I do. It reminded me that my purpose has always been bigger than photos or fashion. It's about helping people see themselves more clearly, more kindly, and more honestly.
