We took an awesome fishing trip to South Lake Tahoe and discovered two incredible places for kids and families! Our first stop was the Tahoe Trout Farm, where I caught a HUGE 15-inch, 2-pound rainbow trout! The coolest part is they charge by the inch and will even clean your fish for you. There are giant trout swimming everywhere, making it one of the most exciting family fishing destinations in Tahoe. Next, we visited Sawmill Pond, a kids-only fishing pond stocked with rainbow trout. I caught 2 more trout and had an amazing time fishing with beautiful mountain views all around. Just before we arrived, a bear reportedly came down to the shoreline and stole a fisherman’s trout right off the bank! Talk about a wild Tahoe fishing story!
