Blackpool might not be the first place people think of when it comes to real ale pubs, nowadays most places seem to have either shut or cater exclusively to the lager crowd… but beneath the bright lights, arcades and tourist traps there’s a surprisingly strong independent pub scene still thriving. In this video we head out across Blackpool hunting for hidden micropubs, traditional locals and some proper pints to see whether micropubs have helped keep the town’s real ale culture alive.
