The Fall's Allan Cubitt

Last night, the new drama series The Fall made its debut on BBC Two. The five-part thriller sees Gillian Anderson, perhaps best known from her role as Special Agent Dana Scully on The X-Files, portraying DSI Stella Gibson, who is chasing down a serial killer in Belfast, Northern Ireland. Jamie Dornan stars opposite Anderson as the elusive criminal her character is after. Following on its British debut, the drama is also set for Netflix in the U.S. Content Television has the worldwide distribution rights, excluding the U.K., while ZDF Enterprises handles sales for Continental Europe. The Fall is written and created by Allan Cubitt, whose other credits include The Runaway and Murphy's Law.
