The Taichung City Food Safety Department announced the distribution channels of the first batch of Fu Shou and Fu Mao oil products. The list includes 224 well-known shops such as Louisa, Regent Taipei, and Lao Xie Zhen, all of which were found to be contaminated. Jingmei Night Market has become a major affected area, with eight famous snack stalls, including popular student favorites like pan-fried buns, on the list. Vendors lamented that upon receiving the announcement in the night market's group chat, they were terrified and immediately switched brands and returned the goods. Not only are famous shops and snack stalls affected, but 22 schools in Taipei City used this batch of carcinogenic oil in May of this year.
