Our 30-minute journey begins at Hope Street, turning into the grand Charlotte Square. We walk along the majestic George Street, head down Frederick Street, and follow Queen Street and Hanover Street back into the heart of the New Town. After looping around the beautiful St Andrew Square Garden, we venture into Rose Street, currently showing the raw, authentic texture of city works, before finishing our walk at Hanover Street with a beautiful view of the Royal Scottish Academy of Art. The morning is peaceful, the streets are quiet, save for a few travellers carrying suitcases on their way home. No talking, no music. Just the grounding sound of footsteps, a soft spring breeze, and the real atmosphere of Scotland.
