Whispers of the Mountain Wind A long original English poem inspired by the spirit of Pashto poetry In the shadow of ancient mountains, Where the cold wind carries stories of forgotten kings, A lonely shepherd walks beneath the silver moon, His footsteps soft upon the patient earth. The stars above him shine like burning prayers, And every stone remembers a thousand years. The valleys breathe in silence at midnight, While rivers speak the language of eternity. Tall cedar trees bow before the wandering breeze, As if greeting an old traveler returning home. Far away, a fire glows beside a humble tent, And a mother sings to her restless child. Her voice is softer than spring rain, Yet stronger than the thunder across the hills. She sings of courage and honor, Of hearts that never bend before fear.
