Mudhoney's Mark Arm on The Saints' First Three Albums
“If you were in Seattle [in the ‘80s] and there was a party, and it was a really good party, one of these Saints records would be playing.” Mudhoney’s Mark Arm is about to go on tour with original The Saints members Ed Kuepper and Ivor Hay, to play songs from the band’s original three albums: (I’m) Stranded (1977), Eternally Yours (1978), and Prehistoric Sounds (1978). Also in the band are Mick Harvey (The Birthday Party, The Bad Seeds) and Peter Oxley (Sunnyboys), plus a horn section of Eamon Dilworth and Julian Wilson. Mark is a massive Saints fan and he made us a primer for those first three albums which he says are in a three-way tie for his favorite albums of all time. The tour starts November 5 in Los Angeles. All dates: November 5 – Los Angeles, CA – Teragram Ballroom November 6 & 7 – San Francisco, CA – Great American Music Hall November 8 – Portland, OR – Revolution Hall November 9 – Seattle, WA – Neptune Theatre November 11 – Chicago, IL – Cabaret Metro November 13 – Toronto, ON – Phoenix Concert Theatre November 14 – Brooklyn, NY – Music Hall of Williamsburg November 15 – Philadelphia, PA – Union Transfer November 16 – Washington, D.C. – Union Stage
