China is one of the most economically significant countries in the world, so if a civil war were to break out, the global economy would be greatly affected. Many foreign countries would find it important and necessary to interfere with the civil war to suit their interests. So, if China had a civil war, a lot of foreign countries would likely get involved. But what would the side of the civil war look like? Taiwan would likely join, as it seeks to regain control of mainland China. Otherwise, a democratic uprising could probably happen in the south, in areas like Hong Kong.
