Late on the night of May 28, 2026, firefighters from multiple agencies responded to a major structure fire at the rectory of St. Margaret of Scotland Church in Selden, New York. The fire was reported shortly after 11:00 PM at the rectory located at 69 College Road. Upon arrival, firefighters were met with heavy fire conditions, with flames venting through the roof and thick smoke engulfing the building. Crews launched an aggressive attack from multiple sides to bring the blaze under control and prevent further extension. This video captures the intense firefighting operations as emergency personnel worked throughout the night to battle the devastating fire. Despite the extensive damage sustained by the rectory, all occupants were safely evacuated and accounted for. No injuries to civilians or firefighters have been reported.
