The head of Saif al-Islam Gaddafi's legal and media committee, Aqila Dalhoum, spoke about the behind-the-scenes details of his assassination and the ongoing investigations. He stated that the Public Prosecutor's office had identified four suspects in the assassination, but noted that the office had not cooperated in providing information about them. He added that they were shocked by the news of Saif al-Islam's death and that they were keen to ensure the impartiality of the judiciary in the case, pointing out that Saif al-Islam's last wish was: "Do not doubt the Libyan judiciary." Dalhoum also indicated that Tripoli was not a safe place for Saif al-Islam when asked about his continued stay in Zintan. He stated that the homes of everyone who had taken pictures with him in Sirte were demolished, accusing the city of suppressing rights and freedoms. He added that Saif al-Islam's funeral would have been attended by millions were it not for the economic circumstances. He also mentioned that Hannibal Gaddafi is still in Lebanon and is not permitted to travel.
