Is the Mercedes-Benz GLE Coupe a case of form over function? James drives the GLE 350d 4Matic Coupe to find out. It retains all the space and usability of the wagon, while offering a bit more of a road-going statement. The V6 engine and gearbox are smooth and powerful enough on the move. There is loads of equipment for the ‘entry’ model but the Airmatic ride does not quite the right mix between comfort and dynamic precision, and it’s a heavy thing, and you feel it under brakes.
