Black Skull Dragon Makes Chaos Ritual the Best Going 2nd Deck — BETB Replays

Chaos Ritual just became one of the most reliable going second decks in the format — and two new Beyond the Brave cards are the reason. Black Skull Dragon the Archfiend Dragon of Unity is a Quick Effect special summon from hand by discarding any Quick-Play or Ritual Spell — meaning it puts itself on the field through disruption and dodges removal before it lands. On summon it sets any Spell or Trap that mentions Light and Darkness Ritual directly from your Deck or GY, loading your board break tools the moment it hits the field. Level 9 also makes it a live bounce target for Mind Shuffle, dramatically strengthening the going second line. Spell Shattering Sword gives you two modes — destroy all face-up Spells your opponent controls, or target a monster, show Light and Darkness Ritual, drop that monster's ATK to zero and negate all its effects. And if your opponent destroys it, you randomly destroy a card in their hand or field on top. The whole going second engine is faster, more consistent and harder to interrupt than before.
