you're embarking on a journey to unknown places | live moog one ambient jam

This was my first ever live improvisation for a few people on Zoom. A friend and mentor gave me the instruction to do it as a medicine for my perfectionistic tendencies. The 2 weeks leading up to it were deeply challenging - even getting to point of wanting to quit all my creative pursuits - but the event itself went very well, even with technical issues on Zoom. I improvised on a Moog One together with a couple pedal effects and further processing in Ableton Live. Additionally, I recorded myself breathing, using a shaker and other foley sounds. The background atmosphere is a mix of coastal sounds and bird song I recorded this year. Through this challenge but also other recent changes in my life I'm completely transforming how I create and relate to creating.
