Antique Chalkware Plaster Statue Restoration and Painting
I bought this statue locally and restored it. Take a look at the process I use to restore chalkware or plaster statues. I am not sure of the age of this statue but it is probably from late 18th century or early 19th century. I have refinished religious statues in the past that look similar. The person I got it from said he thought it was "well over 100 years old" and it was brought back from someone in his family that had been overseas. I am really happy with this restoration and I am also happy that I get to keep one of the statues that I restored. I have had people contact me in the past with questions. Hopefully this video helps a bit more but if you have questions feel free to ask.
