Slow Living on a Rainy Day: Comfort, Creativity, and Home Cooking ___ This is the rainiest summer yet! Gardening is impossible on rainy days, so I'm creating a cozy atmosphere by decorating the house for Easter. The rainy season is the perfect time to relax and enjoy your favorite activities. Cooking a comforting dish, baking delicious madeleines, and decorating them was a relaxing activity to the sound of the rain. Watercolor painting is also a meditative and relaxing process that brings a lot of pleasure from both the process itself and the finished product. Keira, --- 🔖 Decorated Madeleine Recipe: Ingredients for approximately 20 madeleines: 200g flour 200g butter (melted) 4 eggs (200g) 140g caster sugar 34g honey 4g vanilla extract 4g baking powder Preparation: Mix the eggs and sugar. Then add the melted butter, honey, and vanilla. Finish with the flour and baking powder. Fill the molds 80% full. Bake in a preheated oven at 200°C (390°F) for 2 minutes, then reduce the temperature to 170°C (340°F) and bake for another 7 minutes. Unmold and let cool. Decoration: Melt approximately 200g of white chocolate in a double boiler. Add food coloring in the desired colors. Draw the designs in a clean madeleine mold. Once the designs are dry, place a tablespoon of melted (but not hot) chocolate in the bottom of the mold and place the madeleine on top. Let it set in the refrigerator.
