Cañaveral de León. Huelva

A different kind of trip: a map of Andalusia with spectacular videos… on our website! http://canalandaluciaturismo.es Cañaveral de León is located in the heart of the Sierra de Aracena and Picos de Aroche Natural Park. The terrain and limestone formations of this mountain range, with its significant pockets and caves of filtered water, are why Cañaveral boasts one of the most important springs in the natural park: Fuente Redonda (Round Spring). It is the town's water source and its very origin. The spring is one of the most representative hydraulic systems of the Moorish water culture, fed by an aquifer located beneath the surrounding houses. This urban element invites us to enjoy the visual and auditory experiences characteristic of Moorish culture. The water that flows from it is channeled through a long irrigation ditch, El Pilar, along Calle Pantano (Swamp Street) until it reaches La Laguna (The Lagoon), an exceptionally large pool situated in a beautiful square paved with artistic cobblestones. The popular lagoon becomes a meeting point and recreational area every summer, as swimming is permitted, making it a social hub for locals and visitors alike. https://www.escapadarural.com/que-hac... http://www.canaveraldeleon.es/es/ http://www.enclavedeportivo.com/
