Long Beans with Yellow Moong Dal Recipe | Alasande Beans Palya | Healthy South Indian Recipe Welcome to our kitchen! Today we are making a simple, healthy, and delicious Long Beans with Yellow Moong Dal recipe. This traditional South Indian dish is packed with protein, fiber, and amazing flavors. It pairs perfectly with hot rice, chapati, or dosa. 👩‍🍳 In this video, you'll learn: ✅ How to cook long beans perfectly ✅ Easy method to prepare moong dal palya ✅ Healthy and tasty side dish recipe ✅ Traditional home-style cooking 📝 Ingredients: 500g Long Beans (Alasande Beans), chopped ½ cup Yellow Moong Dal (Hesaru Bele) 1 Onion, finely chopped 1 tomato, chopped 2 Green Chilies, slit 3 garlic cloves chopped 2" ginger chopped ½ tsp Turmeric Powder 1 tsp coriander powder ½ tsp Cumin powder Salt to taste 1 tbsp Oil Water 🌿 For Tempering: Oil 1 tsp Mustard Seeds ½ tsp Cumin seeds 2 garlic cloves chopped Curry Leaves Chilli Flakes (optional) Asafoetida 👩‍🍳 Preparation Method (Pressure Cooker): 1️⃣ Wash and soak the yellow moong dal for 15–20 minutes. 2️⃣ Add chopped long beans, moong dal, onion, tomato, garlic, ginger, green chilies, turmeric powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, salt, oil and ¼ cup water to a pressure cooker. 3️⃣ Pressure cook for 2 whistle on medium flame. 4️⃣ Allow the pressure to release naturally. 5️⃣ Heat oil in a pan, add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, garlic, curry leaves, chilli flakes and Asafoetida 6️⃣ Add to the cooked beans and dal mixture and mix well. 7️⃣ Cook for 2–3 minutes until the excess moisture evaporates. 8️⃣ Add grated coconut or coriander leaves mix gently. Serve hot. 🍽️ Serve with hot rice, chapati, or as a healthy side dish.
