HOKA Chiang Mai Thailand by UTMB 🇹🇭🏔️ 📍 Distance - 55 KM | HMONG 50 (Day) ⛰ 2,587m elevation gain ⏱ My Time - 13:54:00 (15 hrs cut-off) ⭐️ 5/10 – 50 KM Finisher Hooorayyy 🥳 My 5th 50KM finisher and first international trail race, and what an unforgettable experience it was. From bib collection to the finish line, everything felt truly world-class proud and grateful to be part of a UTMB event. The first 9 KM came with a brutal 1,000 m elevation gain. After just 5 KM, the real suffering began steep, relentless climbs that completely drained our energy before reaching the first checkpoint. After that, the route transitioned into rolling and more runnable sections, though the elevation gain never really let up Once the first killer climb was done, I focused on refueling properly and pacing myself to hit every cut-off safely. The scenery throughout the course was absolutely stunning. Passing by Doi Pui Peak was one of the highlights moments like these truly remind you why trail running is special The final 14 KM downhill was a mental war, legs screaming, mind negotiating with every step until I finally crossed the finish line. Worth every struggle. This was more than a race. A solo runcation, a reset, a reminder that sometimes you need to run far to find yourself again.
