Is that wrong? It's not exactly wrong. You can lift it if your skill level is quite different, or if your opponent isn't really tough. But just doing that kind of continuous play in a national or international competition isn't ideal. Every opponent has fangs and claws. Even if some spikes aren't as powerful, there are other shots you have to be careful of, like feints, saves, slashes, or even spikes. My mindset when competing is to turn back to where my opponent isn't comfortable and then find opportunities to attack instead. For example!! When I was competing in the U19 youth division, Fame + Mart 🏸 faced Bas + M Suphak Jomkoh (Jeokkoh🔨). Athletes know that this nickname isn't just for show. But it's a heavy hitter! 💪🏻 Early in the game, I could feel the impact and the ruck shaking. 😱 So I switched to a defensive approach. If I forced the ball, waiting for M to critically hit, I'd still be dead. ☠️ Because I couldn't keep my composure. Bas was looking to get me in the face. I really only used one strategy: I hit Mart, he came up behind me, I backed up and hit him in the face, and that turned the game around. 🤧 In short, the tough defender is the one who doesn't lose.
