This episode uses references from the Season 3 episode "Shape Up with Shane" from this series. 2. The scene of the Flying Scotsman stopping next to Shane is a reference to the real life locomotive's counterpart visiting Australia in 1988-89, and mentions Shane's basis having a picture taken beside it.
