BEHIND THE SCENES AT THE MR. DRESSUP SHOW
Hi! My name is Jim Parker and I'm a singer/songwriter, music producer. From 1983 to 1997 I worked as a writer, musical guest and puppeteer on the iconic, Canadian children's television show, MR. DRESSUP. In February 1993 I brought my video camera (picture a camera the size of a small suitcase) to CBC Studio 4 in Toronto and shot this "home" video of the making of an episode and a look behind the scenes. You'll see the set, Green Room where a rehearsal meeting was taking place, control room (in a trailer no less) and a puppet's eye view of Ernie Coombs (Mr. Dressup) doing his thing from behind the counter. If you enjoy it or have a question leave a comment below. Thanks for watching! JP
