In this video we discuss our new Electric Water Pump kits in detail along with some tips and tricks when using an EWP. One commonly asked question is: What about my stock water pump? This can be left in place and doesn't need to be modified at all. The only downside to leaving the stock water pump in place is when the thermostat is removed (which is required when using an EWP) the engine may take longer to warm up. In this case you can either remove the impeller blades from your stock water pump and then reinstall it, or buy an aftermarket water pump idler from Meziere. In most cases we leave it in place.
