Old school Curry Rice in Air Itam Penang: Restaurant 三角湾 (Sah Kak Eng) Economy Rice eat in takeaway

We Malaysians love our rice! So it is no surprise that there are many good cai png/ economy rice/ mixed rice restaurants and stalls all over Penang. This particular shop is called 三角湾 or Sah Kak Eng in Hokkien, and they have been serving delicious dishes and rice for decades here in Air Itam/ Jelutong area. Located just next to the Pasar Kampung Baru market, they have a great variety of dishes cooked and served hot throughout the day. Notable dishes are their selection of fish curries and belachan fried chicken. I go on a solo food hunt to showcase their dishes and also to takeaway some food for my dinner later.
