130 Year Old Piano Rebuild - Part 6 - Piano Tilter Build
In Part 6 of my piano restoration series for my 1890 Ivers & Pond upright piano I am building a DIY piano tilter. I had designed the piano tilter in Fusion 360 ahead of time to use simple lumber that I had available or could easily get. I used an old 3/4 inch sheet of plywood that I had left over in my garage from an old project, and a handful of 2x4s to construct a frame structure. The design is simple and was made to be partially disassembled for easier storage in my garage. I haven't tested this with my piano yet, but I it feels very solid when it's laying down in the horizontal position.
