ATUALIZAÇÃO DO PÉ DE CEREJA DO RIO GRANDE EM VASO DE 60L

The Rio Grande cherry tree is a fruit-bearing and ornamental tree, quite popular in backyards and orchards in southern and southeastern Brazil. Its crown is columnar and its size is small to medium, reaching 5 to 15 meters in height. The trunk is straight, smooth and peeling, with beautiful shades of gray, brown, green or red, depending on the stage of the bark. The leaves are simple, leathery, glossy, opposite, lanceolate to elliptical and aromatic. The flowers are axillary, long-pedunculate, solitary, pentamerous and white. The center of the flower is characterized by numerous and long stamens, with yellow anthers. The fruits are subglobose to pear-shaped berries, with a thin skin, red to black when ripe, crowned by the persistent calyx. Each fruit can contain one to three large, oblong, brown seeds. It flowers and fruits in the spring.
