MP Naz Shah’s childhood was full of adversity and suffering, from being sent to Pakistan to escape her abusive birth father, only to be tricked into marrying her first cousin at just 12 years old. Naz’s mother Zoora was then imprisoned for twenty years for the murder of Naz’s stepfather, who had been systematically raping her, and pimping her out to other men for years.
