Primary Scripture: 1 Peter 1:13-21 What this message hopes to accomplish: What are Christians living for? Are we living to honor Christ with our heart, mind, body, and soul? Are we living to honor Christ with our words, actions, thoughts? As Christ followers, this is what we are called to, "Love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, and strength," and "Be holy as I am holy". How does this work, only through the person and work of Jesus Christ. I our own strength these things may seem impossible, but through the power of the Holy Spirit who indwells every single person who places their trust in Jesus as Lord and Savior, miracles happen, transformation begins, and the result is holiness. Our lives begin to become set apart, what we once did no longer is pleasing and we begin to find our joy in loving God and loving others, helping them to say YES to Jesus!
