Ocentejo (Guadalajara)

🚩 Ocentejo is a municipality in the province of Guadalajara, in the Autonomous Community of Castilla-La Mancha. In 2025, it had a population of 15 registered inhabitants. It is located at an altitude of 854 meters above sea level, in a spot where the Armallones Sinkhole ends. Griffon vultures and other birds of prey soar above this canyon. An old path, carved between the stone walls, was once used to reach the salt flats of La Inesperada. The town center maintains the typical structure of the villages in the Sierra, with traditional stone buildings. Ocentejo has been inhabited since ancient times.
