Ep.181: Drumul Talienilor - Pasul Stânișoara (tură moto)

The Talienilor Road (DJ 209B), also known as the Vitoria Lipan Road, is a spectacular mountain route of about 34-55 km that crosses the Stânișoara Mountains, connecting Suceava County (Mălini) with Neamț County (Borca) through the Stânișoara Pass (altitude 1,235 m). The road was built between 1902 and 1904 by order of King Carol I and later paved until 1914. The name comes from the Italian craftsmen brought in to work on the embankments. Talienilor Cross: A historical and religious monument located in the Stânișoara Pass, erected in memory of the heavy fighting in the area. Literary Connection: The route is also famous because it partially overlaps the route taken by Vitoria Lipan in the novel Baltagul by Mihail Sadoveanu.
