Trip to Israel - Dinner at Machneyuda Restaurant Jerusalem

In January 2020 we flew from Zurich, Switzerland to Israel for the first time ever. After arriving at Ben Gurion International Airport in Tel Aviv, we took a direct train to Jerusalem, where we booked a cute little AirBnb apartment nestled in the middle of the Old town in the Jewish quarter. With all the famous sites just a few walking minutes away, this was an ideal place to stay. We started our culinary journey of the city at the Machneyuda Restaurant, one of Jerusalem's most popular restaurants. It's name originates from the adjacent Mahane Yehuda Market, which is a marketplace popular with locals and tourists alike and has made a name for itself as one of Jerusalem's best restaurants. "With three Jerusalem chefs running the show, this rustic haven for foodies offers a changing market-to-table menu with all ingredients sourced from the nearby Machne Yehuda Market. The open kitchen gives you a front seat to the action, and the lively, spirited vibes are like no other." (Time Out, January 28 2019 - https://www.timeout.com/israel/restau... ) We decided to order their tasting menu as it was simply too hard to decide on just one. It sure didn't fail to disapoint. All dishes were nicely presented and unbelievably flavorful. A highlight you probably shouldn't miss is the dessert - you'll see why when you watch the video. The longer the evening went, the more it turned into a party with loud music blasting from the speakers, which added such a cool vibe to an already awesome dinner. What a cool experience!
