How to Adjust the Shifter in your Classic GM (1969 GTO)

In this episode of BP Builds, we continue work on our 1969 Pontiac GTO. After the engine and transmission are in, we work on the clutch fork linkage mechanism to the pedal. After the clutch is sorted out, we work on adjusting the shifter. This is a Hurst style shifter of an unknown brand. Using a 1/4 inch drill or something similar, you line up the shifter in neutral. Then you set the transmission to neutral. Next, you adjust the transmission/ shifter linkages to fit on the shifter. Your shifter is now adjusted.
