These are 10 of the many relationships on ER that did not get happy endings. These relationships all ended in either breaking up or in one of the two tragically dying. Or in two of the cases they never really began, they were definitely shippable and even kissed once each (Carter/Lucy and Mark/Susan) but... they never really were properly a couple. And coincidentally Lucy and Mark both did leave the show with tragic deaths too.
