In this video, I'll take you outdoors and show you five photo opportunities that are particularly worthwhile in early summer. June is a wonderful month for nature photography: everywhere is in bloom, buzzing, and fluttering; the light is intense, the grass is high, and you can discover especially beautiful subjects along streams and small bodies of water. One of my highlights this month is demoiselles – fascinating, iridescent insects that can be wonderfully photographed with a little patience. In the video, I share five ideas for photo opportunities in June and show you what I pay attention to when photographing demoiselles: from the right light and approach to composition and background. As always, it's not about traveling far or seeking out spectacular locations, but about discovering nature right on your doorstep with open eyes. If you're planning to head out with your camera this June, this video will hopefully give you some ideas and inspiration for your next nature photos.
