The Wahleach Ski Traverse - Exploring the Cheam Range on Skis
Full blog post here: https://www.wackyardadventures.com/po... Sam and I (Greg) set off for a local ski objective we'd been thinking of, right in the Chilliwack River Valley. Starting up Airplane Creek FSR, we had a goal to ski off Knight Peak just like John Baldwin's ski guide (Exploring the Coast Mountains on Skis), and then traverse the Stewart, Wahleach, and Foley Glaciers before descending to Williamson Lake and looping back to the car. It was an 11/10 day with great skiing, views, and a couple summits too. Total stats were ~30km, ~2,700m and 14.5 hours... with only ~12km actually on skis - worth it!!
