Jesus and Racial Justice: Bishop Curry at the 2016 Trinity Institute
We can use the life and teachings of Jesus to confront racism and injustice, says the Most Rev. Michael Curry at the inaugural session of the 2016 Trinity Institute. Bishop Curry’s sermon expands upon the wisdom of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., who urged marchers in 1963 Birmingham to “meditate on the life and teaching of Jesus.” Listen for a Change: Sacred Conversations for Racial Justice, was held January 21–23, 2016 by Trinity Church Wall Street. Trinity Institute was an annual conference that equipped clergy and laypersons for imaginative and catalytic leadership.
