Which will WIN? || New vs Old Gold Spot Irish Whiskey

Which is better, the New Gold Spot, or the Original Version? Let's find out! To celebrate the 135th anniversary of Mitchell and Son being in business, they created a special edition of their spot whiskey: Gold Spot. It was matured for at least nine years in Bourbon Barrels, Sherry Butts, Bordeaux Wine Casks and Port Pipes. It's non chill filtered and bottled at 51.4% ABV for a complex and full flavoured experience. Meanwhile, the new Gold Spot Whiskey is called the "Generations Edition", and it's a bit different to the 9 year old version. For starters, this one comes in at 13 years old, and instead of being at 51.4% ABV like the first Gold Spot, this one comes in at 46% ABV. Like many Spot Whiskeys, it was aged in Bourbon and Sherry casks, initially, but then it was finished for 16 months in Reciota Della Valpollicella wine casks.
