The "Nine Puzzle" Sudoku Challenge (But You Have To Work Out The Rules...!)
** TODAY'S PUZZLE ** Marty Sears recently constructed an extraordinary series of puzzles themed around some very unusual creatures: Myriapods! Before tackling the "new batch" of Myriapods, the solver must first learn the behaviour of these animals by solving eight 6x6 puzzles... but without knowing the rules!! It's an absolute blast from start to finish and feels very like one of our monthly competitions. Many of you have requested this one so please forgive the video length. Play the puzzle at the link below: https://sudokupad.app/8opgiv0h40?sett... (The puzzles for batches 1 to 8 can be found by clicking the links in the instructions.) Rules: ⚠️ We can no longer contain them. The new batch of eggs looks set to hatch within days. Please urgently review studies 1-8 in order to gain vital understanding about these bizarre creatures. All we currently know is that they're always at least two cells long, and seem incapable of moving diagonally. Normal sudoku rules apply. In each puzzle, you must use any rules you learned from the previous puzzle! ** LIVE CRACKING THE CRYPTIC SHOW ** On 2nd November Simon & Mark will be doing a live episode at the Stratford Literary Festival. Please book early to avoid disappointment, this event sold out quickly last year due to the venue size. (Also please do bear in mind that the event is in Stratford Upon Avon (and not the London Stratford!)) https://www.stratfordliteraryfestival... ** LAST MONDAY'S BLUE PRINCE STREAM ** You can (re)watch Monday's Blue Prince stream here: https://youtube.com/live/vkWsgzPtszM ** AUGUST SUDOKU HUNT COMPETITION JUST CLOSED ** Our sudoku competition for August has just finished. It was based around The Labours Of Rostam - the Persian legend. Solution videos incoming soon!
