Perfect for work at height, in crevasses, or in canyons, this 165-gram Petzl mechanical device features a generous opening for easier gripping with or without gloves. The overmolded, dual-material handle with a lug for the index finger and a lower support zone on the Ascension ascender-handle allows for a firm hand position, increasing efficiency when ascending the rope. Made of aluminum, the Ascension ascender-handle is compatible with single ropes from 8 to 13 mm in diameter. For optimal safety, this Petzl ascender is equipped with a toothed trigger with an evacuation slot and an integrated safety catch. The large lower hole of the Ascension handle is sized to easily connect the lanyard and foot loop.
