In this lesson, we discussed initial concepts regarding the meanings of FOUNDATIONS and EDUCATION with the goal of understanding the main objectives of EDUCATION for human and societal development. By the end of the lesson, we will conclude that the actions and effects of the educational process depend on the social, historical, and cultural contexts in which they occur. With this understanding, we will grasp how and why human thought and action depend on EDUCATION.
