Hi, everyone. I'm Evangeline here at etrailer. Today we have the Napier Cove Tent. This is going to be a tent that attaches to the back of your SUV CUV hatchback vehicle. If you're looking for something that has a smaller footprint, maybe you're just going on a quick little adventure or you're going to a location where you don't really have a place to set up a ground tent or a big old campsite, this might be a good option for you. So let's take a look at some of its features and I'll also show you later in this video how to get the set up on your vehicle. This is actually available into a different sizes. So you have your small and your large. Your capacities are gonna be the same, your features are gonna be the same. The main difference is gonna be the opening or the size of the vehicle hatch that the tent can fit around. So if you have a large vehicle, like a 4Runner, you're gonna want to get the large Cove tent. If you have a smaller vehicle, like I have a little compact vehicle, the Kia Seltos. I am using the smaller tent and it fits perfectly. We have a list of vehicles at the bottom of the page to help you figure out if it'll fit your vehicle, or you just put your year, make, and model, and use our fit guide at the top of the page and that will guide you through the process of if it's a confirmed fit or not. Now both tents are marketed as two person tents, but really your actual space for sleeping is dependent on your vehicle. I actually do a lot of car camping. My car camping vehicle is a Prius V. Because of it's hybrid engine, I'm able to camp out on the inside and still keep things running as much as a Prius can, which makes for really fun car camping experiences. Now the downside to car camping is that sometimes the interior of your vehicle just isn't enough space. If you're able to open up the hatch and just expand out a little bit, it changes the experience a lot. You then have a little bit more breathing room, more moving room, and that's where the Cove tent comes in handy. This is gonna be your sleeping area, the interior of the vehicle. But once you open up your hatch and then you have doors or windows, this now extends your usable area tremendously. So that's something to consider too. While it seems a little strange to camp inside your car, there are a lot of benefits to it, and having a Cove tent just helps you get there. This is what the tent looks like from the inside. If I didn't have the tent and the hatch was down, this is how much space I would have inside the car. I'm five two on a good day, I really don't take up that much space. So the fact that I feel cramped in this position says a lot. Now with the hatch open, with the tent up, I'm now able to stretch out a little bit more, and even though everything is covered, we still have a good amount of light coming in. So it has this very breezy and open feel, much better compared to the cramped conditions inside the car. And you could just imagine on a larger vehicle, a larger SUV, how much more space you have then. Now with this fully enclosed, you also have the option of just using the window panel. So if you wanted to let the breeze and the light in but keep the bugs out, you saw that I was able to unzip that window panel. Here, if I wanted to stay like that, I can just secure it with some tabs and a loop on the panel. I personally would love to use this during the summertime or when it's warm because the airflow in here is great. There's windows in the corners, there's this window in the middle. There's a good amount of breeze or ability for breeze to move through your vehicle and through the tents. However, if it was gonna be a little bit colder, and in my experiences from cold weather camping, I'm always looking for spots where I can insulate a little bit better. And this material might be a little bit too breathable, especially with those corner mesh windows. Like right now, I can feel the air go through the mesh window. If I had heat inside here, that's exactly where the heat would escape. Now I would have a part solution and that would be to drop the awning, and that would cover those mesh windows and may help retain the heat inside the vehicle a little bit more. Or just invest in a really good sleeping bag set up. That would be my solution for if you wanted to use this during cold weather. But during the summertime, amazing. About that awning, here you can see the awning extends past our vehicle's hatch right over here, wh
