Northgate Mall - Seattle, WA. February 26, 2019

The mall that started it all back in 1950 is close to it's death knell as we've known it. Trucks and equipment are gathering at the far east side of the parking lot. Appears it's only a matter of days or weeks before partial demolition begins. I recorded what I could today for posterity. I'll attempt a few more if I have time. If this video is still around a century from now and beyond, I wonder what our descendants will think of the stores, ads, signs and clothing? The light rail station due to open in 2021 will be antiquated and most probably replaced long before a century passes. Light rail itself may well be outmoded and replaced by something we can only dream about today. Comments on your thoughts and memories of Northgate Mall, good or bad, are encouraged and welcome.
