Gabriel Weber - “ Uma Terceira Margem do Atlântico: o Território da Arquitetura Agudá”

No âmbito do Encontro Conclusivo que encerra IOSB – International Seminar on Outros Bairros, Gabriel Weber, proferiu a conferência “ Uma Terceira Margem do Atlântico: o Território da Arquitetura Agudá” Grabriel Weber é arquiteto e pesquisador, mestre pela Faculdade de Arquitetura da Universidade do Porto (2022), onde obteve o Prémio Viana de Lima (2023) pela melhor média nas disciplinas de Projeto. Iniciou a formação na Faculdade de Arquitetura e Urbanismo da Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro, transferindo-se para a FAUP em 2017. É autor dos livros Manual de prácticas del autobús – 474 Jacaré Copacabana (Barcelona: NoLibros, 2024) e 474 Jacaré-Copacabana (São Paulo: Sobinfluência, 2025), ambos desdobramentos de sua dissertação de mestrado, finalista do Archiprix Portugal em 2023. Atualmente é doutorando na Faculdade de Arquitetura da Universidade do Porto, com bolsa da Fundação para a Ciência e a Tecnologia (FCT). Venceu o 20.º Prémio Fernando Távora da Ordem dos Arquitetos. ENG As part of the Closing Meeting that concludes IOSB – International Seminar on Outros Bairros, Gabriel Weber delivered the lecture “A Third Shore of the Atlantic: The Territory of Agudá Architecture.” Gabriel Weber is an architect and researcher, holding a Master’s degree from the Faculty of Architecture of the University of Porto (2022), where he received the Viana de Lima Prize (2023) for the highest overall grade in Design studios. He began his studies at the Faculty of Architecture and Urbanism of the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, transferring to FAUP in 2017. He is the author of the books Manual de prácticas del autobús – 474 Jacaré Copacabana (Barcelona: NoLibros, 2024) and 474 Jacaré–Copacabana (São Paulo: Sobinfluência, 2025), both developments of his master’s dissertation, which was a finalist for Archiprix Portugal in 2023. He is currently a PhD candidate at the Faculty of Architecture of the University of Porto, supported by a scholarship from the Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT). He won the 20th Fernando Távora Prize awarded by the Portuguese Order of Architects.
