Do you know what torments them? The insecurity of not knowing if they're writing what they should. See the full article: http://www.andrefontenelle.com.br/ref... Theoretical Framework or Theoretical Foundation? #scientificarticle #andrefontenelle #wearepractical The first thing you should know is that these two expressions mean the same thing! ABNT standards don't define this term exactly, so each university can apply whatever they find most convenient. You can also find the same meaning in the terms "bibliographic review," "theoretical framework," "literature review," and "theoretical approach." I'll use them all in this video so I don't keep repeating the same thing. These expressions refer to the bibliographic research for your work. Everything you write in this section of your final paper must be based on another text. In other words, a theoretical framework is the body of knowledge about your topic, which you simply copy from other authors, organize, and describe in your text. In other words, in this section of your final paper, you shouldn't write your opinions on the topic, but rather what you discover about it. But isn't that plagiarism? It depends! If you copy someone else's text and include it in your research as if it were your own, that's plagiarism. However, if you copy someone else's text and insert it into your text, listing the author's name, that's a citation! Bibliographic research should be 100% based on citations. Even so, you won't be using them alone to form your theoretical framework. Most of the text must be written by you! The key here is to keep the text purely descriptive and not invent any information, just comment on the citations. There's a video here on the channel specifically to teach you how to make direct citations. I'll leave the link in the description. How many cited texts should be used? Ideally, you should write 7 or 8 lines of your own authorship for every 2 or 3 lines of citation. With less than 20% (twenty percent) of citations in the text, the theoretical quality of the text may be low. On the other hand, with more than 30% (thirty percent) of citations, reviewers may think you were lazy in your writing. Therefore, avoid long citations and try to use one citation for each idea you develop. In a 20-page paper, for example, ideally you should have between 15 and 30 citations. I'll give you one more piece of advice: use sentences with up to 20 words and paragraphs of up to 4 lines. Keep each topic no longer than 300 words. This isn't a rule, but it will make your writing more objective and ensure a more enjoyable read for your reviewer, avoiding questions during the panel. You should only start writing the theoretical framework after defining the topic, problem, and objectives of your dissertation. Furthermore, I strongly recommend that you only start writing after you've already completed a summary. There's a video on how to make a summary here on the channel. I'll also leave the link in the description. The summary is the key, as it will provide you with the citations, which are the raw material of your thesis. It will also help you define an outline, which will show you exactly what you need to write in each paragraph of the text. How to Create a Theoretical Foundation In short, you should do the following: 1. Define topics to serve as subtitles for your chapter; 2. Research citations on these topics; 3. Write the citations between the topics; 4. Fill in the blanks with comments on the citations. Next Video: • Fundamentação Teórica: Onde achar artigos ...
