Hiking The Rob Roy Way Trail in Scotland
In this video I document hiking the Rob Roy Way trail in Scotland. The focus for this video is the trail; the terrain and the scenery take priority. So if you are interested in finding out what walking the trail is actually like - without a YouTuber constantly in front of the camera - this video is for you! đ If you havenât heard of the trail it is situated in the Eastern Scottish Highlands and runs for 79 miles from Drymen in Stirling (East of Loch Lomond) travelling north east to Pitlochry in Perth & Kinross. It was only created in 2002 and takes its name from Rob Roy MacGregor, a Scottish folk hero and outlaw of the early 18th century. The trail passes through the countryside he travelled frequently which is a mixture of forest tracks, cycleways, disused railway trackbeds and moorland footpaths. It is said to be a quiet trail, although the data is a little out of date it was last recorded an average of 3000 people use the path every year, only about 450 completing the entire route.
