I've always wanted to visit Kurokawa Onsen. While I was deciding which inn to stay at, I immediately knew I wanted to stay in this room at Ryokan Sanka's detached "Nemunoki" room. The special atmosphere of a detached building is evident everywhere. First of all, the room's size, the study, the view, and the refrigerator stocked with beer, sake, and hot spring cider—so many drinks you'll wonder if they're really free! The main bath is a semi-open-air cut-stone bath with an indescribable charm, and outside it is a cypress open-air bath that could fit four people. Because it has no roof, you can fully enjoy the night sky. And as for the food, the fish and meat were so fresh that it made me wonder if I was in a hot spring in the mountains! Not only was it delicious, but the presentation was also stylish. Even as I write this, I'm thinking about returning! Is the price really worth it for a detached room?
