Wichura, awaria przy lodowcu. Ale dla tej góry warto było.

Five years ago, we saw Vestrahorn in perfect light. We came back all this way to see it again. But the mountain refused to reveal itself. In this episode, we search for wild, off-the-beaten-path access to the outlet glaciers of Europe's largest ice cap—places where tour buses never go and the only sound is cracking ice. Hoffellsjökull, Heinabergslón, and a side of Jökulsárlón that most visitors never see—we have them all to ourselves. But between one glacier and the next, we keep coming back. To the same mountain. A mountain that keeps saying no. And somewhere along the way, our Toyota decides to join the protest. This is one of those episodes where Iceland reminds us who's really in charge. 🚙 In this episode: 📍 Hoffellsjökull — a glacier lagoon without a single tourist, and a track that takes us almost all the way to the ice 📍 Heinabergslón — floating icebergs and perfect reflections where it's impossible to tell where the ice ends and the water begins 📍 Jökulsárlón — no paid parking, no crowds, just a different way to experience Iceland's most famous glacier lagoon 📍 Vestrahorn — three attempts to finally see the mountain 🗺️ OUR ROUTE Four months crossing Iceland in our Toyota Land Cruiser—not via the Ring Road, and definitely not in a week. We're searching for the places where the pavement ends and the real Iceland begins.
